What other acting techniques are there besides "method?

TIPS- Anything Acting: Agencies, Techniques, ANYTHING.?

• I am thirteen years old, I will be 14 in July of this year. I do look older than thirteen, which I've been told is good for playing a range of ages through characters. Any techniques, agencies, or anything to give me about getting into acting. ~Acting Classes? ~Good Monologues? ~Tips for getting into character? ~Casting Calls. ~Absolutely anything. Even if you feel like you know nothing about acting. I've started a diet, just to keep slimmed down for any future diets, I also have been practicing monologues every day, I usually spend an hour or so a day just polishing up.

  Find a good class by asking around, attending their shows, getting advice locally. Go at least once a week, and keep going for a couple of years, before looking for a more advanced class. Learn to sing and dance - they're needed for all sorts of roles, even if you don't want to do musical theatre. Read books and plays - lots of them Get the best general education you possibly can. Make sure you get enough qualifications to get a good ordinary job as well, ideally one you can work free-lance. You'll need it. The best most actors ever get is 2 or 3 weeks of paid acting work a year. Grow a thick skin - don't take it personally if you don't win roles. You have to be able to deal with rejection almost every day of your life as an actor. Listen to good advice and never get big-headed. Good luck!
