How to become an actress, is it better to start young?

I am 13 turning 14 in June and I want to become an actress. How? Where do i start? Please read below!!!!!!!!!!?

  • I have always wanted to be an actress or a nurse when I was little and I want to try acting. I haven't taken drama yet but i might in high school which starts in September. I was a tom boy but now I'm a girly girl. So from being a tom boy i have scars all over my legs. Will that be a problum???

    Starting with acting classes/drama. Or this summer you can go to an acting that will prepare you. Some are NYFA, SOCAPA, and YAC. You can google them if you're interested.

Being a tom boy induces scars? If you want to be an actress you must have experience, so I think you should definitely take drama. Being a girly girl or a tom boy doesn't really matter. I'm in between and I have a ton of scars on my legs too. Honestly, it does not matter AT ALL. When you're on stage you wear tights or pantyhose.

first, start with having at least one parent that will drop what their doing and do this with you. you won't be doing anything at 14 without a parent. take acting classes, you don't need to wait till Sept. look around you for community theater and student and ind. films, their open calls a parent can get you on and are good for experience.

You should have participated in school dramas or different auditions before, cause acting asks for experience... Anyway, you should do acting classes and search for an agent :)
