What are the gun laws like in France?

What are your views gun control laws?

  • I was wondering what everyone thought on gun control laws and why I myself is NOT in favor of any strict gun control laws of any kind. I feel the best gun control is through education not legislation. I know there are people who say that laws to keep the bad guys from getting guns. if you look at the states and city that have strict gun law have higher gun crimes. I have never committed any kind of crime and have no intentions to. I like to go hunting shooting at the range and to be able to protect myself and my kids and if it mean lethal force so be it. My bother made a bad choice years ago and did 5 years in prison he told me it is 10 time easier as a felon to get a gun with stricter control laws then me to get gun legal way. Why is that

    I agree,education is the number one thing when it comes to guns. What liberals don't understand is once guns are banned,there will still be thousands of guns,the difference is they will be in the hands of gang bangers that now have citizens for targets because we do not have guns. For example,places like schools are just sitting ready to be shot up,if a guy wants to kill a lot of people fast he knows a school is a gun free zone with lots of people,it is like shooting fish in a barrel and it doesn't have to be like that and if liberals get their way the whole country will be like a school,just ready for the right psycho to start pulling the trigger. Here in my neck of the woods I would say two out of three people have firearms in their homes,the gun crime is extremely low here,I personally have about 10 in my house and none of them have harmed anyone.

Under the constitution I feel all state and local laws should be stricken. I feel that all federal gun laws after the GCA of 1934 should be repealed. I feel that a felon who uses a gun should face execution.

if you think about it, criminal nearly always use illegal guns so if you have alot of gun control them your just taking guns away for innocent people. i think there should be minimum gun control and i think the government should push people to own guns and possibly offer classes on using them. i mean all our tax money should do something right? if nearly everyone had a gun crime would be much less because if your a criminal and the majority of people are carrying guns you would be scarred. just look at Australia, there government took there guns and the crime rate went through the roof. i believe thats a perfect example.

Repeal the machine gun ban of 1986. All the machine gun owners I know say it just raises prices on existing guns to exorbitant prices. You don't seen gun totiin' maniacs around here, anyway, quite the opposite.. There are so much restrictions on Class 3 NFA's that only the most honest can own one, anyway. Even then, they says cops have them on a list and hassle them at traffic stops, when they aren't supposed to.

I'm pretty sure that under a strict interpretation of the Second Amendment most or all federal gun control laws are illegal themselves. Ask someone who has been in prison how easy it was to get almost anything while they were in prison. Tyrants like to be the only ones who have weapons.

If somebody has made up their mind to do somethin bad with a gun,they dont care how they get the gun.I own a few,bought them all legally.I have nothing against waiting 3 days to get a new gun,simply because I already have other guns.But on the other hand,if I wanna buy a 22 revolver to shoot pop cans,why should I have to wait?I aint never hurt nobody
