Who are the best teams in Italy soccer league?

My soccer team needs help to beat on of the top teams in the league.?

  • My team has one game left in the regular season and if we win, we can clinch third place. But the team we have to play is clearly the best in our league. Some info on opposing team: They are 6-0 26 goals for & 3 goals against Some info about my team: We have two dynamic forwards and one midfielder who has some pretty nasty speed. He can beat anyone and if someone has him tied up, he can just escape like crazy. We have two wingers who can carry real well out wide. We have some pretty solid defenders and a sweeper who can clear any ball out of the air every time. I'm the goalie and i would say I am above par for the league. We are all 15 to 16 years old. We aren't so good at heading balls of crosses. That would probably be our biggest weakness offensevly. We were thinking of just playing total defense untill the last 5 minutes were we go for that winning goal but I need some more ideas.

You have two options here: 1) Play a Counter attacking system. Much like Chelsea did vs FC Barcelona this year. Pack it in and defend as hard as you can, and select your attacking chances carefully, but make sure you make those count. Like they MUST end in goals. What you try to do here, is frustrate them, and get them to over attack and then you hit them with a quick counter for a goal. You counter attack when the chances are right! Not just at specific times during the game. 2) You keep possession, and frustrate the heck out of them. Don't let them get the ball! Select your passes carefully and keep possession. If there is nothing forward you knock the ball all the way back to the keeper if necessary. In doing this you hope to draw them out of position and hit a ball behind them for one of your forwards or wingers to run onto. Whichever you choose to do you MUST defend well. Do not give them an inch in your defensive third. You should try to make them hit shots from 25+ yards out so the chances of them scoring is less. That's what it comes down to. DEFENSE.

Tell your defense to pressure 24/7 and not let them shoot and play by the wings most of the time.

Jonathan

Keep the two forwards up the pitch but playing as wingers in order to stretch the oppositions back line as far as possible and to prevent their fullbacks joining in the attacks. Have the rest in a 4-1-3 formation and stop anyone from dribbling through you. Fire Long balls into the far corners of the pitch for your strikers to pick up.

Guido Fawkes

ok you should think carefully at first about the game

I agree with Kyle. Counter-attacking would probably be your best chance at winning. Exactly like Chelsea vs Barcelona recently. I'd say a 4-5-1 formation. A packed midfield would be helpful to disrupt their play. Be organized. Pressure, pressure, pressure. Take note of their impact players (those who can make things happen) and pay special attention to them, mark them if you have to. Everyone in your team has to be committed to defending and attacking at the right moments if you wanna have chances at winning. Waiting for the last 5 mins to go all out would probably be too late. Hope this helps.
