How many think that if the USA people that hate LGBT people went to live in Iraq they'd change their opinions?

Simple question, how many believe that if the conservative people that hate LGBT people went to live in Iraq where you can be sentence to death by simple "Looking gay" would change their opinions fast?
-
Answer:
A better solution would be to install a program that takes people who have a virulent hatred towards LGBT folks and puts them in a house with a gay, lesbian, or transgendered couple/family for a while. Even though this plan has flaws, the execution would probably be widely accepted because the methods are not as extreme; it's a bit like living with an immigrant family and learning their culture. Nothing would be accomplished by sending extreme homophobes to a country like Iraq. Why? Because the point is to get Americans to accept homosexuality, and the idea of sending the kinds of people who hate LGBT people with a passion to a place where gays are killed like flies to a bugzapper is as silly as sending a hyperactive brat to Chuck E Cheese. In addition, what constitutes "hating LGBT people"? This statement is so broad (like most political language) that this could mean anyone who is ignorant but not exactly hateful towards LGBT people. It wouldn't be long before politically correct assclowns stepped in to use this mandate to forward a pseudo-progressive agenda.

Don't send them to Iraq, send them to Iran.

Your logic escapes me. First, conservatives don't "hate"gays, they just want to be able to deny them civil rights to make themselves feel superior and powerful. And second, even if they were consumed with frothing-at-the-mouth hatred, I'd think they'd be all for public hangings, but they'd find that it's only the religious police that are so anti-gay, that the average Iranian (I think you mean Iran, not Iraq) is no more anti-gay than the average American.

No, they'd fit right in. Also, people are not entitled to their own opinions in Iraq. There are probably many people in Iraq that aren't disgusted by homosexuality, but must follow the homophobic beliefs because they have no freedom. Sad, but true
