What is the best media player?

What is the best cord for my media player?

  • I have a media player that has a HDTV out and it comes with 2 cables one is a 3.5mm plug on one end and the component red, blue, green on the other. The second cable is the 3.5mm plug on one side and the red/white RCA on the other. The red/white get plugged into the headphone port. The component for the HDTV port. My question is I'm leaving for vacation in a few weeks and the place we are staying has a older style TV so I'm guessing it doesn't have component inputs. What type of cable or adapter would work best to go from the HDTV port to just the yellow RCA. I found an adapter that down scaled the signal but it was $50 and seemed a bit over kill. This is going to be for my kids to watch some of their movies at night so not looking to break the bank. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

  • Answer:

Read the manual for your player on how to connect it to composite in on a TV. If what cables you have, or another is needed, it will state. Otherwise, you need a component to composite converter box.
