Which PS3 Headset is good for both gaming and chat?

  • I am usually a casual gamer but with MW3 I really get into it. I understand you get what you pay for. With that in mind, I do have a budget. What headset can I buy for preferably less than $100 but still have good sound quality for game and chat? Also I would like one that allows for both game and chat at the same time. I dont want to have to turn off in game audio to hear my team curse.

It can seem like a costly investment for a casual gamer, but when you think about how many times your mic/headset breaks in a year and how much you spend on replacements it's a wise choice. Plus the sound quality is top notch. You can hear everything in the game, from footsteps to the grass rustling as an enemy walks past. They're also good for music and movies. I've had my pair for almost a year and a half and I use them everyday.

Go to Wal-Mart and see what they have, I bought a PS3 60 dollar "HD" Blu-Tooth headset which is great for gaming and chatting (my cousin bought a 200 dollar gaming headset made specifically for the PS3 and I can barely ever hear a word he says, and other people in the game constantly yell at him because he always breaks up, so like the other answerer said, more doesn't mean better... How ever his headset gives him clues as to where people are located! It's an over the ear piece though!)

I got some Sony headset but when I use it it freezes the game or makes it slow I paid 100$ so the you get what you pay for isn't true
