What happens when you cancel a debit card?

What happens if I cancel my debit card after ordering a "try it before you buy" item?

  • I have a bank account, which also allows me to sign up for a virtual debit card specifically for online transactions, which can be cancelled with the click of a mouse. Honestly, I'm not a bad person at all, I just have concerns that I may not have the money, but trust me when I say this the product is needed. I purchased a product, which allows me to make three payments of $100, one of which happens on the very first day, the second on the 30th day and the third on the 60th day. I'm not avoiding payment, I have no problem paying, in time. Like I said, It's needed and I do not have a lot of spare cash. So I was put in a tight spot.

  • Answer:

I'd imagine the charge will hit your bank; it may still get through to your account, as it's been drawn against it. Ask your bank (there may be charges)
