How to Start a Diary?

How to start a diary or a journal? 10 points?

  • i want to have a diary but im kinda scared that someone is going to read it and i would go really mad. but i dont know where to hide it n stuff and and also how do i stick at it with out giving up thnxs.

  • Answer:

Here's how to start one: 1. Buy a diary. The biggest mistake you can make when buying one is buying one that is bright, fluffy with DIARY written on it. Buy just a simple, plain book. 2. Buy another diary. This time, buy one that is obviously a diary. 3. The obvious diary (mentioned in step 2) will be a fake diary. Write in some fake entries, and hide it, but not so it is really hard to find. Just make sure it is no so easy to find that is it obviously a fake. This way, if anyone finds it, no one will know your secrets. 4. In your real diary, write your real entries. 5. Hide it in a really good place. I have pictures on my wall, and they have a wooden frame, so I put my diary behind the picture.

Ive been writing a diary for about three years. If you dont feel like writing in it one day, then dont, theres no point forcing it. Find a box that looks really boring, such as a school shoe box or maybe hide it among a pile of cheap, boring books and hide it among them. Be creative and hide it where no one would think to look. Your diary could be more interesting if you add photos inside it, tickets, poems/songs you've written, how your feeling, who your crushing on, how you imagine the future to be like (this will be interesting to read back later on) etc.

I've never really kept a classical diary. My personal journal lies around for everyone to see, but the thing is that no one can really read it, because I usually write in a cryptograph. If you want to hide it, then best in your bathroom between all the stuff you younger siblings or whoever would never ever look through (if it's a brother, then a between the tampons boxes, for example). I do write personal stuff in my diary, but also things I hear somewhere, read, see, etc. I'm a writer, so obviously all ideas go in there, too. It's really helpful. Most of the time I just carry it around with me in my bag so that I have it at hand when I need it. Like the answer above stated, there's no point in forcing it. If you don't want to write one day, just don't. All the rest she said is good, too. A cryptograph is great, but make sure you know it by heart really well, otherwise it'll be hard reading through all the stuff again. Good luck with it, and by the way, don't listen to the first person. A journal is great. Writing is great. He/she knows nothing about it.
