When will my breakthrough bleeding stop?

• okay so im a 16 year old female, and I just started my 3rd week of pills. So after this week I have the placebo pills. I have been bleeding every single day since I started my period 3 weeks ago and my mom said it was breakthrough bleeding. I was wondering -when my breakthrough bleeding will stop -if I skip the placebo pills and continue the normal birth control pills, if that will help stop the breakthrough bleeding I understand that breakthrough bleeding can last a month or more but I'm really over bleeding every single day and I want to know if I skip the placebo pills if thatll end the bleeding. thanks Oh and im on Levora

  I don't think its normal! I have never heard something like this...its very strange. If this is your first birth control pill pack then the pill is not suiting your body. I had to change 3 bc pills before finding the right match for my body. Once you are done with the placebo pills you start a new pack. If you start consuming the active pills your periods will usually go away but if they don't then its time to switch pills!
