How to calculate Rotation Matrix?

Calculate chi square using a matrix on ti 84?

  • My instructor uses a matrix to calculate chi square for Goodness of Fit problems. I entered all the data into the matrixes but now I can't calculate the chi square using x2-Test on the TI 84. . Here's the problem. After I inputted all the numbers in the matrix, I went to X2-Test. There's 2 fields to complete. Observed & Expected. I'm stuck on entering the proper matrix, G and F. I hit alpha G for the observed value and when i hit alpha, the A flashes but it won't accept the letter G. What am I doing wrong?

  • Answer:

Marriageminded - The "Goodness of Fit" Test uses "Lists", not Matrices. However, if you meant the Independence Test, Yes you want to use two Matrices. So, I think your question is how to identify the "OBSERVED" Matrix. NOTE: The "EXPECTED" Matrix will be automatically calculated by the TI-84, so dont' waste your time entering the EXPECTED matrix. However, you do still need to enter a Label for that Expected Matrix. Now, to change a Matrix Label under STAT, simply hit "2nd-MATRIX", then simply move the cursor over the name of the Matrix where you entered the OBSERVED. If that fails, you can download the TI-84 manual from the Texas Instrument website for free. Good Luck!
