How does temperature affect heat?

  • I know that when temperature increases, the reaction is exothermic and when temperature decreaes, the reaction is endothermic. However, my reaction lead no increase or decrease in temperature. The original temperature was 20 degrees celsius and after the reaction it stayed at twenty degrees celsius. So, my question is how is this classified whent there is no change in temperature? Is it exothermic or endothermic? Or is it neither?

  • Answer:

Neither. Magnesium Carbonate is insoluble. Nothing happened. It's like taking water, then putting water into it. Nothing happened.
