How can/does a mobile phone provide power to pen drive?

Is it normal to power off your phone before you drive?

  • I turn off my phone every time I get into a vehicle even if am not the driver and I order my passangers (my kid, and friends) to do the same. Is this too much, or is it okay to do what I do?

  • Answer:

In our house we have one rule - what the driver says goes. If they want the windows closed then the windows are closed. If they want the music on loud then it goes on loud. The comfort of the driver is paramount. As the driver, you obviously feel more confident driving with little distraction and that means phones and chatting are distraction and therefore needs to be turned off. As for turning your phone off in other people's cars - I would say that it depends on what they think. I personally can drive with loud music, kids screaming, yelling arguing and the usual chit chat so phones don't bother me. But basically, no it's not normal to power off your phone before you drive but if it works for you then carry on doing that. KD

To answer your question I don't think it's normal. I've never encountered someone who has told me this before. But I agree with what Ruby said that if you feel as though a phone could affect your ability to operate a vehicle by all means go for it. If you do that when you're not the driver though, I do think that is too much to ask for.

what.
