What Does Salvation Mean?

For Christians, what does salvation mean?

  • `` This is to see what some Christians find that salvation means. Do you need it? Why do you need it? Over a lifetime, what happens to an individual who becomes a Christian regarding salvation? I have an understanding of this, but always I see that others can add so much to all our understanding of this. And I do get that privilege to read what everyone puts here. I would wish that others would read also what each other puts down. This way you might agree or not, but you will have a better idea what your own belief on this is. <<>>

  • Answer:

    a relationship with god

The fact of the matter is that the world is in a fallen state. Man is naturally broken, and is in desperate need of a savior. This is evident by war, crime, corruption, disease, and ultimately death. God loved the world, and took upon Himself the lowly form of a man. He experienced life as a man, knowing first hand our weakness. He died to himself before he died on the cross, totally laying aside his own will in favor of the will of his Father. To live is Christ, and to die is gain. Those who accept that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and believe in their heart that God has raised him from the death, will be saved. We die to ourselves, losing our life; loving it not to the death. We are raised from this fallen state; born again into right standing with God through the finished work of Christ, and will eventually ascend victoriously, given indestructible bodies; by which the Second Death has no power over us, those who are in Christ Jesus. I encourage you to lay down yourself and put your faith in Christ today.

To me Salvation means to be saved from a personal hell. There has been very little for me to give up before the Lord drew me from the earth and set me up to follow Him for ever more.Meaning to me is value. Because I valued others all my life before conversion and put myself last I lost meaning and nothing produced for me any long lasting effects. I was rejected and confused, drifting along looking for something to grab hold off. Salvation has given me meaning and what I do is appreciated. I know that I am watched and everything is important. Other people are not the big deal that they used to be. If they cant prove that they are part of my family in Christ than they dont even exist. Yes I have been saved from dire poverty, from a stage that did not produce what it said it could to a reality that is more than I can fathom.

Salvation is the Baptism of the Holy Ghost - the operation made without hands, the circumcision of the spirit. Its what makes us righteous with God so that we can be adopted sons from being born again. Of course there are promises and inheritance that comes with this but there's also responsibilities to the Lord Jesus Christ who paid for our sins.

In simple terms, salvation is an understanding that does not allow for a (any) misconception. another way to look at it is that the mist in Gen. 2 has not only dissipated, but it is also known that it was never "there."

Salvation is being saved from sin and it's consequences. I need it if I want to spend eternity in heaven :) HuGgZz*´¨) ¸.•✿´¸.•*´¨) ¸.•*¨) (¸.•´ (¸.•`✿ ¨)Cheriツ
