Yes, you can. When you go to the iTunes store, there will be a bar on the right that says 'Quick Links'. Under it, it will say 'redeem'. Click this, and it will lead you to a page where you can put in your gift card code. This code is found on the back of the card (you have to scratch off the area to reveal your code). I use only gift cards on itunes and have bought numerous apps for my ipod, as well as coins for my games. You can use it to buy anything on iTunes, and it will show your new balance when you redeem.
