English songs (USA Canada UK) VS Hindi and Urdu (India and Pakistan)?

  • I'm Indian and i don't like Hindi songs. Hindi songs are emotionless. There is no feeling, no sadness and no aggression in Hindi songs. Hindi songs are very crap. Also all Hindi songs are only one type. And others like qawali, gazal all are Blah. I used to listen some Hindi songs in past until i had no English songs and also getting bored of Hindi songs. Ppl in India says kolavare is best song. But it's an insult of music. Hindi songs which i like from namastey london and from gangster movie. Very few Hindi songs are satisfaction. And other all songs just insult of music and singing. Also Hindi songs have no variation like metal, rock, pop On other hand English songs are amazing. There is very sadness in songs of band like coldplay, creed, alter bridge, breaking Benjamin etc. Also powerful aggression in songs of bands like slayer, cannibal corpse etc. Also there are such great bands like Linkin park, iron maiden, bullet for my valentine, metallica etc. Also sad English songs are 1.the reason by Hoobastank, 2. Addicted by Enrique. Aggressive songs are 1. Eyes of insane by slayer . English songs are such best songs in whole world. Also there is lot of variation in English songs pubic as rock, metal, pop, punk etc.

    Shounak@ you are totally cvnt. Sada haq is a metal song? What a joke! Haha....... LMAO. All the songs you are saying are same. No one can beat Indians in bad singing. Also Indian music is just like Indian faces as apes. Indian songs and music are just a joke and insult of music. Hindi songs are totally emotionless. Btw who mvtherfvcker told you that Oscar is given to musicians and singers. It's given to actors, producers and film music directors. Also slumdog millionaire is movie of UK not India. And the band listed by Michael won 7- 8 grammies only for their single songs. Indians singers are nothing in compare of them. And the matter of Indian musicians. They are just like aboriginal music. Also USA Canada and UK are top 3 music extracted countries. There musicians and singers are great. Michael@ I'm an Indian and also listen many Indians songs but these are just crap. While USA and Canada music are awesome. I like sad songs of breaking Benjamin and Linkin park and coldplay and also aggressive songs of disturbed and Linkin park. And also bullet fmv is very nice with mixture of sadness and aggression

Indian songs emotionless?! :O I'm a Mauritian and I understand 5 languages! Most likely you'll find me listening to Indian songs! They are fantastic, especially the old ones!

Tell me something..are you nuts ??!!! Indian songs emotionless ??!!! I think Indian songs are the only ones with emotion. Obviously, kolaveri di is total crap, but that's not hindi song. Listen to these songs and tell me how you really find hindi songs to be - te amo(soft rock), pungi(pop), sadda haq(rock), hosanna(soft), ek me hu aur ekk tu(pop), piya tu kahe rootha re(rock). These songs just rock man and it also explains that there is no lack of variation in these songs. Listen to some other AR Rehman somgs. And by the way, AR Rahman has won an oscar. How many of your above suggested bands have won oscars ? And sad songs...I will list so many sad songs(mostly old ones) that each of those songs will make you cry like anything. And English songs can't be the best in the world. The music is just awesome, without any doubt, but the singing is just flat, with no quality. Old hindi songs will teach you how to sing. You might find qawali and gazal boring(I too find them boring), but that is what a song is - Melodious singing accompanied by good music to sweeten the effect, and not flat singing which is covered up by some really good music. And by the way, at least hindi songs don't have hard rock, which makes you go deaf. SO LEARN TO LISTEN TO AND RESPECT ALL KINDS OF SONGS.

Yes ur rite!! Indians suck at music!!! Pakistanis music is the best!! Seriously go listen to: Imran khan, Mustafa Zahid,Bohemia, H dhami!!!! they do raps, hip-hop, punk n stuff!!! Or if u awnt english music listen to one direction, Rihanna, Katy perry, Jay Z, T-pain, kirko bangz, chris brown, the mdnight owl!!

The only reason why old Hindi songs are better is because a majority of them are in Urdu. For several years, Urdu has been the language of art and poetry within the Indian subcontinent. A vast portion of Urdu's vocabulary has been derived from Persian, which itself is a beautiful, poetic language; and used by several archaic poets such as Rumi, Ghalib, Iqbal, and Khusrow. In my personal opinion Hindi in its pure form is far less beautiful as poetic than Urdu in its pure form. Pure Urdu is referred to as "Khalis/Kahlis." Unfortunately, Urdu and Hindi have been standardized to a point in which they sound the same to speakers, when, in actual context, they are very different. Even today, many lyricists within Bollywood are Muslim and their language of choice is Urdu! When listening to Hindi songs, if you ever come across words with a "kh"/"xh" sound (such as khwaab, khwaish, khwamakha etc.) or words such as: taqdeer, tassawur, tauqat, qudrat, ranjish, taghaaful etc. etc. etc. you are listening to Urdu poetry!!!
