How do I get this Windows Email to work?!?

Ok, So I am trying to send a special email using Windows email. I have to send something to a website, and when I do the Windows Email pops up, so I assume that is how I have to send it? I have a gmail account, and the WE says I need to enter a pop3 and something else. I thought I did that, but every time I try to send this email it says error? I am so very confused, and pissed.
