What to do after a chemical pregnancy?

What happened to me,did I have chemical pregnancy?

• I did HPT at day 26 of cycle and was positive with very light line,then i repeated after three days and the line was little bit darker than last time.Last night my stomach was blown,then i put my fingers down and it smelt blood like my period is coming,then i did the HPT at day 31 of cycle and was negative,i am so sad,why this is happening to me,after 8 months of TTC a second baby.Now i went to do beta HCG i didn't get the results yet.My period didn't come yet.is possible that is chemical pregnancy?The HPt tests were of the same branch,what's wrong with me, i am desperated?

  i have had 2 chemical pregnancies. with the first one, i intuitively KNEW i was pregnant (it was the first cycle we BBT'd after shooting in the dark for many months prior). i got the positive home preg test and was blown away, overwhelmed, and calmed into a very happy surprised state. went to the hospital for bloodwork that tested positive only to start bleeding a few days later. a few months later i had another chem preg. by this point, i swore off home preg tests b/c the prev chem preg was so devastating-- actually i think the doctor's discouraging and prejudiced words about my advanced maternal age worsened the trauma further. anyways, i intuitively felt something was up. went to the doc's office for a blood test on sat. started bleeding the next day (sun). and later came to find out that the blood test was positive. they only way to know for sure is ultrasound by a doctor ...
