Birth control question?

Birth control question?

  • I just recentley had an abortion, (please do not judge me) and i was wondering when i should start taking birth control. The lady at the clinic gave me some samples of birth control and told me to take them on sunday (4-22-12) but i didnt take them because i wasn't sure if i wanted to take that kind. Anyway, yesterday was 4-29-12 and i wanted to start taking birth control so i took one. Is it bad that i didnt take it on the day she told me too? I haven't really started my period yet since the abortion i just had some bleeding after the abortion so I dont think that was my period. So i was wondering when the birth control pills will start being effective and i can start having unprotected sex with my husband? Also the lady only gave me 2 months worth of samples and the name of the birth control is Lo loestrin fe. I was wondering if this was a good birth control pill? Or if it isn't whats a good birth control pill to use? And i was also wondering about the depo shot and if that is a good birth control choice. Please don't judge me on my choices I am an adult and can make my own decisions thank you. :)

  • Answer:

They say seven days if you didn't start the day of your period and immediately if you took them the day you started.. read the papers that came with the samples there pretty useful
