Where can I buy a second hand sport bike in Mumbai?

Dirtbike or Sportbike?

• Im ready to buy a motorcycle but im debating whether to get a street/sport bike like a YamahaYZF or a Kawi Ninja or should i get a dirt bike like a KTM or something like that. I live in the mountains but i work in the city. Which means i could put the dirt bike to really good use on the weekends. On the other hand i could put the street bike to good use getting to work every morning and evening, (1hr commute).

  If you're planning on commuting as far as you're saying, i would NOT recommend getting a sport bike. I ride sport bikes and have nothing against them, but they are simply not meant for long range riding, I can only do about an hour at a time on mine before my back can't take it anymore. You might look into an enduro style bike such as a Kawasaki KLR 650, or the Triumph Tiger, however, these are not the best starter bikes as they have a pretty high center of gravity and will tip easier than other motorcycles. If you're planning on doing mostly commuting I would highly recommend a standard or cruiser style bike. They are more comfortable for long ranges, are more stable due to a longer wheelbase and lower center of gravity, and are also MUCH cheaper on insurance than a sport bike! If you're open to a cruiser style bike I would recommend something between 500-800cc's depending on your size. The Yamaha V Star 650, Kawasaki Vulcan 500 and 800, and Honda Shadow 750 are all very popular bikes in this range. I personally rode a Vulcan 800 for some time and loved it, but its the heaviest of the group. Whatever you do, make sure to invest in good riding gear, and take an MSF course! It will teach you to ride safely and let you enjoy riding for years to come!
