How to take the sound off a video?

How do i take the sound off a video on windows movie maker?

  • I wanna save the sound off a video, and use it on windows movie maker...How do i do this??Thanks.

  • Answer:

If you have the XP or the Vista version of Movie Maker, in Timeline View, click the little + sign on the left side of the timeline. Click and drag the audio track into the Audio/Music track below it. When you publish, there will only be audio file types to choose from. If you have Windows Live Movie Maker, you'll need to use an audio extractor. I use Pazera's (after trying a demuxer - too complicated). I just gave instructions for Pazera to another Asker. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Al9xMmIxtRGffQbXdfCsWGjq1KIX;_ylv=3?qid=20120429170141AAq8Lp7 Like Movie Maker, Pazera won't work on DRM protected audio files.
