How could I transfer information from one file to another file across a domain?
-
I'm using 'Greasemonkey' -- a firefox addon that automatically adds javascript code to a specified website. This means that the person writing the Greasemonkey Javascript doesn't have access to any files on the domain he/she is writing for. I tried XMLHttpRequest, but it doesn't work across domains. Anyone know a way to do that? I just want a plain string from a file.

That really depends on a few things. What are you trying to take? Is it legal to get the text you want? Are we going to help you do something illegal? We just need a little more information.
