How do you get water out of your phone?

I drop my lg remarq (sprint) phone in water!? how to get my contacts?

• so i drop my phone in water. DONT TELL ME TO PUT IT IN RICE. It's been in rice for a few days and i already have my new phone. my old phone turns on but only the down arrow ( \/ ) works and the end button now. I want to get the contacts from my old phone and put them on my new phone but how do i do that? I'd like to take it to sprint so they can work their magic and switch the contacts over but when my mom called in for a replacement she reported it as LOST not as WATER DAMAGE. so do you think they can still switch the contacts over for me with no questions asked or is there another way to get my contacts?

  If the buttons on the phone don't work, you definitely can't get the contacts off of the phone, but if you take it to the sprint store, chances are they will most likely ask questions. Taking it would be the best bet though. Hope I helped even though I probably didn't ;)
