    Yes, I love Nepal. However, Nepal is NOT, I repeat, NOT for everyone. You have to have certain characteristics and interests to enjoy living there. Pro to anyone: It is relatively cheap to live in if you have money from a western country like USA, Japan, or Germany. But, it is a very politically unstable country, there are lots of disgusting factors, there is still sexism and ageism, you will be singled out as a foreigner (if you are white or black), and traffic takes getting used to. However, I like the country because I love exotic cultures, I enjoy the Hindu influence, I do social projects and volunteers. I also like the laid back culture and the food. The American dollar goes a long way in Nepal. You have to enjoy waiting and have patience, have streets smarts, be willing to learn the language and adopt the styles of the Nepali. Laid back explorers who get sick of an easy and boring life style will enjoy Nepal, as well as those who want to help and make a difference.

I guess this depends on your parameter of 'good' and the place you want to live in. Although Nepal is quite small, there are many parts to it. If you want good scenario, clean environment, along with adequate facilities, I would say go for Pokhara! But even in Pokhara, you can not escape the reality of political strikes, load shedding, etc. If you want the latest technology available in Nepal, if you travel abroad a lot, Kathmandu is the place to live, and I definitely DO NOT recommend Kathmandu. It is considered to one one of the most polluted town in the world, and I personally find it very suffocating. Well, there are thousands of remote villages in Nepal and living there would be quite healthy, but will be quite out of touch with the world and lacks in good infrastructures. It is impossible to answer your question because it really depends what you are looking for as well as what part of Nepal you end up in. It's certainly a great country to visit. I've been there three times, and I highly recommend it. But would you be all right living in a place that has sporadic electricity? Would you mind that the urban areas (like Kathmandu) tend to be not too clean (by western standards, anyway). Many of the services westerners are used to cannot necessarily be obtained easily, although, it seems cell phones and internet are readily available in all but the smaller villages and rural areas. If you are able to adapt easily, then I suspect you would have a very positive experience there. Good luck!

it depends in what you meen by Good country There is no perfect country on our planet Nepal ha some incredibly gentle kind people which makes it a nice place to live Though it is a developing country it will have some problems if your expectations are high Nepal has great natue reserves, mountaimns, temples and holy places

Nepal is a spectacular country to live in. I lived there until when I was four (I'm British) and I absoloutely loved it. I can remember lots of it. It's really pretty, and the people are so nice. Good luck!
