Community Service ideas for a group of 50 high school students?

Oh, Tim, don't be so sexist. Young women can do landscaping work, too! Em, 50 people is a lot to bring to any kind of a service project. You might be better off finding 5 projects that can each take 10 people, or something like that. It would also be a better way to utilize different peoples' abilities and preferences. Is there a soup kitchen in town? Could they use help cooking, or giving the building a good spring cleaning, or reorganizing their food pantry? Is there a senior center? They might have clients who need some yard work done, or other tasks that sophomores could handle. What about a nonprofit day care? They might have a room that needs to be repainted and cleaned, or perhaps could use a few people to come in and read stories or do crafts with the children. If you really want to do something as a big group, what about a litter pickup day? Parks, town streets, grounds of public buildings, etc
