Difference between purified and drinking water?

Is drinking tap water really as bad as purified water companies make it out to be?

Depends on your area and what water quality you have. A good deal of these "purified water" companies actually use the same tap water you already have, and sell it under the guise of purified, or natural spring water. Better to just get a Britta water filtration system for your home use.

It really depends on how good your water's filtration is. Where I live; the tap's pretty damned clean to drink from actually. But they ARE trying to sell their product of course. There's no law on what "spring water" is. There aren't many laws on what's actually in "purified water".
