How does suspension affect college admissions?

Will a middle school suspension affect you chances into getting in college?

  • It happened kinda fast, a while back too. I stood up to a bully. I got 5 days out-of-school and it's the only time i got in trouble. That was the last time i was going to get into trouble. So now.. I have a great reputation and I'm well-liked by everyone except by the kids i got in a flash with. I'm in the gifted classes and im able to hold A/B honor roll. I'm happy with myself. But I'm worried this will affect my chances of getting into a university and I'm scared. I need someone to tell it to me straight.... Will it affect me?

    Nah, they don't look at your middle school records. They only look at your most recent education (most likely high school) (I figured I'd slap that label on myself even though I am not because it seems to get more likes and best answers even if you have the exact answer haha)

YOU ARE IN LUCK! NO IT WILL NOT! A college doesn't care what happened before high school. You have a second chance. Don't screw up in high school. Now go and work hard in highschool. Make sure to join extracurricular activities such as joining club, volunteer, join a sport.

Most universities only look at high school records. Don't sweat it...The Dean probably got into a scrape or two in early years. Your rep is safe.

Nope, like everyone said colleges dont really care about what you did in middle school. Middle school is a time to prepare you for high school. I am sure they realize at that age many people will have/had make really stupid mistakes, I mean come on you were really young. Also it's not like you instigated the fight, you were standing up to a bully right? I don't understand why you got into trouble. The education system these days are way too soft for their own good.
