Where and how can I get an internship in marketing?

How can a Psychology major write a good cover letter get a Marketing internship?

• Hi! I'm a senior in college (grad in December) and I have decided that I would really like to do a marketing internship this coming fall before I graduate. I have my heart set on a marketing internship at the zoo in my city because I like conservation education and of course animal preservation. The only thing that is holding me back from applying is the cover letter- I don't have any marketing experience! The only business class I ever took was Financial Accounting and I did poorly in it. These are my current experiences/achievemnts: - Double-major in Psychology and German - Research assistant in the Neuro/Cognitive Psychology lab - work part-time at a restaurant - 3.025 cumulative GPA - studied abroad in Germany for 6 months on a stipend/scholarship - have received 3-4 other scholarships I know Psychology is an important component in marketing, but I haven't taken any specific courses that have anything to do with Marketing. My Psych major GPA is like a 3.8 though.. I have gotten mostly As and some A-s in Psych courses. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated!!! :)

  Well, you should tell them how your knowledge would contribute to their marketing objectives. I have to say, with that GPA and with no marketing, nor mass communications experience it will be very difficult for you to get the internship. Although, I have to say that there is always a chance if you apply. Remember, they do not care about your scholarships, they care that you can be successful in creating and executing their plans and objectives.
