Bought something from ebay?

Please can I have some advice as a sellers account on eBay was closed after I bought something?

  • Hi, I bought a phone from an eBay user, they had good feedback and wasn't a shop, just a guy selling his phone. It was purchased from eBay UK and I live in the UK. I paid via PayPal and hours later he marked it as dispatched. This morning I received an important message from eBay stating the listing was ended. After reading this I attempted to contact the seller to politely ask what was happening as I don't want to cause them hassle. I found out on his account it states "no longer a registered user". Has he closed his account and taken my money? Or not paid a previous fee he had on his account and eBay have closed it? I'm wondering if it'll ever arrive. I'd like people's opinions on this and what you would do in this situation. Thanks very much.

    If the seller said it has been dispatched you should still receive it but if you don't,contact the resolution centre of eBay...

You can file a claim but I would call them and explain whats happened - 020 8080 2105 or 0845 355 3229, they will ask some security questions first, good luck.
