What is going to happen with this society?

• This is something I have been thinking over a lot. People die every day for money. People cry for it, people are desperate for it. And why? Will they be happy if they have it? If they have all the expensive things they wanted what will happen ? There are so many unanswered questions roaming through my head, but I'm afraid to hear the answers. Have we forgotten what love is? Have we forgotten the beauty of this world? Staying closed in this cubicles, so called freedom, thinking that we're free. Sacrificing ourselves for so called greater good, trying to become better, pressure of society, look better, have money, be afraid to even think that you should be different. Why does this happen? Have we fallen this low? Even when someone cries out for help, people ignore it. Have we gone blind? Children die because people don't see what is happening. Why did money corrupt most of the today's world? It got me thinking: is it possible to be happy? With so many sad things happening and people don't want to see them. What has happened to world today? I remember, it was only like 10 years ago, children used to play outside, running through forests, climbing trees, smiles plastered to their faces. And now? They fight, pose in front of cameras and get mad if their parents didn't buy them a newest I-Phone.I'm really afraid what is going to happen with this, my generation. Don't let me get started about music. I get so sad seeing little girls dressing all slutty, trying to get attention from some boys. I get sad with seeing girls in my class doing the same. I just don't see the point of it. Are they really happy like they appear to? Or are they trying to blend in this mass, corrupted with money? It's just so... depressing. What's to happen if world continues to be like this? Is this really the future I'd want for my future children? I, just.... can't understand. If this what is waiting me, sometimes, just sometimes, I think, I don't want to live here anymore. I'm different from them and some people call me weird for thinking like that and not trying to be like them. And all they care is money. Is it really that important how much money someone has or the way they dress, or the way they look? Sorry if this somehow disturbed you, but I don't know how to express myself and slowly I'm starting to lose hope in this world, when I see what's happening. If this somehow helps you, I'm 15. Is answer really just money?

  Don't lose hope in the world. Just keep yourself straight, worry about yourself and your life. You can't control the world, but you can stay content in it, and have peace of mind. Set a good example.
