How do you get tech points fast on virtual villagers the lost children?

im playing virtual villagers 2: the lost children and i was wondering how to get tech points fast as pausing the game when ever there are collectibles and dragging all the children on it doesn't work so any other suggestions??

Answer:
Increasing the number of scientists or/and researching science. If all fails you could use cheats but I wouldn't go there
