How do I warm up my voice before I sing?

How to sing better with a scratchy voice?

  • Hey everyone! Okay so I have always wanted to sing ever since I was little but I have tried singing before and my voice just sounds so dry, scratchy, and hoarsed. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I could avoid this? Because I don't really know how to sing with my diaphragm and I think that would help out a lot :) I have recorded myself and I don't think I sound very good. I am not giving up though. I know I can sing good because everyone can sing very good if they put their heart in to it <3 I don't think I have a lot of confidence and I guess I feel very insecure about myself and that is probably why I can't sing good? I don't know but all I know is my voice is pretty scratchy sometimes and it is because I clear my throat constantly and I drink coffee. Anything would help out because I really want to be able to sing good like Megan Nicole or Tiffany Alvord =) thanks everyone! God bless ^_^

It doesn't matter if your voice is husky or scratchy. Many very talented singers have husky or scratchy voices. It just takes practice or you have to have the raw talent.
