Can I get into the University of Michigan?

Can I get into the University of Michigan Nursing Program?

  • I am currently in a community college in Michigan and would like to be able to transfer into the University Nursing program. Unfortunately I have a B in Anatomy and Physiology, but even with that I have a 3.8 gpa and was wondering if I got an A on all the other required classes if I would be able to get in. Please tell me what you think.

  • Answer:

We can't predict that for you. . . you would be better off talking directly to the university's admissions department and asking them what your competition is like. How many student apply to the nursing major vs how many they let in? What is the average GPA of admitted students (not just the minimum required)? A 3.8 is really quite decent, but if their admissions also ranks you based strictly on your science courses' GPA, I don't know how badly that B would affect that for you. Either way, I think you're probably fine.
