How to enroll into Virtual High School?

How to convince my parents to let me enroll in virtual school?

  • I'm not some werido who hates school, I just know I learn better on my own and at my own pace. I'm always absent from school because I can't stand it there. Our teachers don't teach anything and I feel like I'd do a better job myself. I've taken courses online during the past 2 summers and like it so much more. My principal has even suggested I enroll. My problem is that my mom says that if I enroll in FlVS I can't participate in any school events, but it is completely ok to do that at my school. I'll be starting my Senior year and I still want to be able to cheer but I feel like I'd be better off teaching myself and learning how to be more independent. How can I convince my mom to let me do both?

    Find some statistics on success rates to show people do better via virtual school. You can always do activities outside of school for social interaction :)

as cheesy as it is you just gotta keep talking to her about it. people learn different and at a different pace. if you have done better online than in class i'd say go for it and hound on mom about it and give her valid points, that involve how you do better. but make sure youre sure about all this. because sometimes being at home everyday you may feel isolated, best of luck!

Well this is weird because i just spent the last 6 months trying to talk my mother into letting me do it. She finally gave in because my grandparents forced her because of my behaviour problems in school. It was hard but really you just need to bring in some logic and show he it will make your life easier and prove to her that you are willing to do it. Show em the facts and a little begging with kindness never hurts my only problem now is finding one home school that's for me good luck =).
