How much wood do I need to make a subwoofer box?

HOW DO I PAINT MDF WOOD SUBWOOFER BOX?

• I want to paint this piece of mdf wood but have no idea how....does it need to be sanded first if so how.many grit?....does it need wet sanding between coats? What is primer and do I need it?...is there a paint where I just put it.on the mdf?...its for a sub box...i want it to be high gloss white

  You are going to want to sand this first. Preferably with 150 grit sandpaper which you can get at a local hardware store. Then remove any dust or dirt by simply wiping it down with a lightly damp cloth. This helps the primer stick better. You are then going to want to apply a primer sealer to the wood. You can get this in a spray can or brush it on. For your application i would recommend spray. Once that is dry apply your finish coat of desired color.
