Buy or Rent - Apartment in London?

You won't even be able to buy a broom cupboard or a garage in London for £60k. You'd be better off renting, probably in the outskirts, and getting the tube train into town.

You don' t say where in London you are going to work, however if you want to live in central London, I am afraid you won't be able not even renting a flat.... You will need to share with others in order to afford the rent, or just rent a room. £600 a week is around £31,000 a year which is an ok salary for a secretary etc. I would not expect to be able to afford anything for £60k to buy so you are going to have to rent.
