How To Fix Blue Screen?

How do i fix my blue screen of death (Stop Error 0x0000007b)?

  • Alright i was using my computer earlier today and all of the sudden all of my programs stopped responding, i tried to open task manager, and a couple seconds later the blue screen appeared. Im not sure how else to fix it. I tried restarting it with safe mode w/ networking it froze. I've tried startup repair 4 times it didnt work, ive tried reverting to my last known good configuration it reverted me to the blue screen again. Now whenever i start the computer, it says that its exiting the intel pxe rom and it keeps freezing telling me to check the cable connection. I have a Toshiba Satelite L455-S5975. I've had 2 other blue screens before that was able to fix but i cant fix this one. Should i just screw open my laptop and check if the Hard Drive is properly installed (even though its been working fine ever since i've bought it) or is there any other solution? Thanks phil

    Sounds like a faulty hard drive. Could also be a faulty controller or hard drive cable. Try a system restore if cable check seems ok. If restore fails then replace the hard drive.

" check the cable connection " hard drive has failed, replace hard drive then use the recovery disc set made for the laptop to install the original factory operating system onto the new hard drive. You could try using the recovery disc set and doing a system repair or recovery first or use the built in system recovery to reinstall the operating system but if this fails your only option is to replace the hard drive.
