Remapping Laptop's Application Keys in Regedit?

• I have five keys on my Compaq Presario to the left, dedicated to functions like printing or opening my default web browser. The one which opened Outlook was driving me nuts a year or so ago, and I learned how to get into Regedit and stop it from doing anything. Everything was fine. I'm trying to find out where I learned to do that, because I would like one of them to open my media player. Where do I find speciality keys like this in Regedit? It seems like my browsing skill has gotten rusty, because I can't find quite what I'm looking for. Most freeware for keyboard remapping don't recognize keys like that. I don't remember the process being very difficult in the registry, editing one of the files to change or erase the shortcut, as I recall it.

  To disable or change what a key does that can be done. This is a keyboard with no spills or physical damage. First try to go to properties and see if there is a list of what you can change and do that. If not the next step is to use set point utility, and you may have to down load from www.snipca.com using the model number of your keyboard. You can do more programing here but it is for power users, or advance tech, not easy at all. Be fore doing any of the above make sure you have the right drivers and software installed.
