Why wont my webcam work?.....................?

my built-in webcam has been working perfectly fine since the day i got my laptop (1 year ago approx). it suddenly doesnt work any more. i can see myself on the webcam but other people cant see me. i have tried on MSN and Skype. i only want it to work for MSN but it wont work any more. i have tried uninstalling the webcam then re-installing it. i have tried disabling it then re enabling it. i have been on settings on MSN too but that doesnt do anything at all. what can i do now?

It might be a problem with the msn settings instead. Have you updated the software of msn and the webcam drivers? Go through the settings of msn chat and be sure everything is set good. The chat may include a wizard to calibrate audio and video correctly.
