Home Server File Transfer HELP!!?
-
I made a home server out of one of my old computer. I'm still pretty new to this but I made a file server so I can create back ups or store video files. What I want to know is when I'm transferring file from my computer to server is that consider downloading by chance? I have a very stupid internet services that limits me to 50gb of data per month. I don't know how to reword the questions but will transferring file effect my data plan? Cable One sucks btw

Answer:
It might be a server, but if it's still within your network the speed will be dependent on your router, since it's not going into the Internet for it to transfer data to and from. It shouldn't affect your bandwidth since it's internal to your network.
