How do I import media from my phone to my computer?

• Hello all! I need to know how to import media from my phone to my computer? I have a Samsung Conquer 4G running Gingerbread FC17 provided by Sprint for a phone. I have a Dell Studio 1558 A12 running Windows 7 Home Premium for a computer. What I am trying to do is send a photograph I took to my teacher's email address from my computer, NOT FROM MY PHONE. What I would normally do is simply detach the USB cable from the device that plugs into an AC power plug, plug it into the USB drive of my computer (sometimes the screen automatically directs me to another screen that asks if I would like to enable Mass Storage Mode, sometimes it just says "USB connected" in the notification bar above) and I bring down the notifications, I tap USB connected, and it brings me to the same screen I was talking about earlier in the question. I would tap "enable Mass Storage Mode" and wait a little bit, and wait for an autoplay window to show up on my computer, and look through the files, copy it onto my computer's hard drive, open my browser, go on my email, attach the file and send the email. That's just about what I would normally do. This time, however, it does change the screen, but does not say anything about Mass Storage mode, it doesn't even say "USB connected" in the notification bar for that matter. The options in the screen I am navigated to are "USB tethering", "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot", and "Help". If you guys could figure something out, it would make my day. :)
