How to send an email that can't be opened?

I opened a paper in my email, i finsihed it and hit save. But i dont know where it saved to? Please help!?

• Okay, pleas help, this paper is huge and due today. I cant find it anywhere! I started writing the paper at home where I saved it, i then sent it through Yahoo mail to my school email. I opened the file in my school email, i finished the paper at school through the file i opened and i hit save multiple times. I realized when i went to send it to my professor i don't know where or what it saved as. Please please please help me, its my college final. If it helps the school email is microsoft.

  Open something in the email and act like you are going to save it again on the same computer and it should show you the path to where it is saving. Hit save as to see where it is going. If you are using microsoft exchange through a web browser try to download something else through the web browser to see where the default save location is. Otherwise let us know what browser you are using and we can give you more detailed steps.
