What's My IP?

What's an IP tracker that I can use on Tumblr?

  • This girl described an IP tracker that she uses on her Tumblr and I want it but she doesn't give out information about it. She says: "I have an IP address tracker on my blog. I can see who you are, where you are, where you live and everything. I can even get your address, parent’s names and phone numbers." I really need something like that for my blog. She also said that she can see exactly what page someone is looking at on her blog, and that it's "invisible"/you can't see it. Can you recommend me some IP trackers that have features like this? It sounds really creepy but people from my school have my Tumblr url and I want to know who because I post a lot of personal stuff and it's just important.

  • Answer:

This is 100% fake, you can't "track" people like that via IP, its not registered to your name in that manner. Here's a little test because about 1 in 4 people on yahoo answers will tell you can be tracked by IP. Go here this will tell you your IP address and what can be "tracked" from it: http://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm?GetLocation Does it have your general location? Sure (sometimes, unless you live in a rural area), your exact address? Nope. Your name? Nope. Anything more about you besides a 50 - 200 mile radius of your location? Nope. That's all the location anyone can get with ONLY an IP, and this is just because its really ISP information and not you personally.
