Is there a good texting app for iPhone ?

My friend and I text using a texting app I download for iPhone and she recently got a new phone and when ever she tries to send me pictures it won't go through even when she sent it to the email they give us for sending pictures but when I send a pic she gets it. I used text free btw . Are there any texting app suggestions you can recommend to me to fix this problem ? Or can u tell me how to fix the problem in general ? Either way I'm looking forward to ur responses and answers thank you I'm advance :)
