Why won't my iPod let me download or update apps?

  • I have the 4th generation iPod Touch. I've had a lot of problems here lately from the battery dying too quickly to it freezing. I tried downloading a texting app but as soon as it popped up on the screen, it would disappear before having time to load. It also won't let me update any of my apps. It shows the waiting sign on the apps but then disappears. I've tried turning it on and back off twice and resetting it once. What can I do?

this happened to me and what i did was. go into settings>general>restrictions>Enable restrictions. i then checked if apps where enabled. leave it like that and the apps should be downloading after this. hope this worked. it did for me :)
