I need a new phone. What should be an ideal upgrade to the Samsung Galaxy Mini (galaxy pop)?

I've been using a Samsung Galaxy Mini S5570 for more than a year and a half now. I'm completely satisfied with it but I feel the time has come to upgrade. So what should ideally be my next purchase. My budget would be between 14k-18k (INR). My main criteria is the battery life. Please suggest either a HTC or a Samsung. Thanks
