How to ask a girl out? (High School?

  • So there is this girl I like and she is in my chemistry class, she actually sits one seat away. But I can never gain the courage to talk to her so I just ignore and move on. Basically I'd rather talk to her in a public location hanging out then sitting in the classroom (because there's this one kid who I dislike because he makes fun of me). I have added her on Facebook and sent her message about homework and she replied. We have worked on labs together and been in review game teams so I kind of talked to her about that stuff only. What I'm asking is how do I approach this on facebook? I know two of her friends (one I talked to for a while, the other I've sort of been in classes with her for 7 years.) I have a plan to wait for the summer and ask her if she wants to hangout? (Not in a date, but as a get to know sort of thing)
