    Speaking out of my own experience, confidence in the key. Don't be to pushy, but just walk up to her and let her know you want to accompany her to the prom. Girls like a guy with the confidence to just walk up and ask. I knew a lot of guys when I was in high school who missed out on opportunities with women because they were to nervous to ask. Just remember, make sure to be yourself. If she doesn't accept your invitation then move on and find someone better. Also, if she rejects you, as your leaving tell her, "I'm to good for you anyway". It will eat at her inside and may even lead to her taking an interest in you for having the confidence to say it. That is all I have to say about it. Be confident, be yourself and make sure you let her know how you feel.

My friend did this and it was TOTALLY adorable (no way to say no): Get five paper bags and write PROM? (one letter for each bag) Fill each bag with some kind of candy/food that starts with the first letter of the letter written on the bag Each day (if you know where she lives) put one bag on her door step with your name on the bag with the "?" on it. OR if you don't know where she lives and you have a class with any of her friends then give her friends the bags one at a time to give to her (a different friend each time) Another idea (not as cute but still fun) is get a puzzle (an easy one to put together like 50-100 pieces with a cute picture of puppies or something) and on the back write "I would be puzzled if you didn't say yes to going to prom with me" make sure its big letters and covers the entire back. Get a box of chocolates big enough to put all of the puzzle pieces in and put the pieces in the box with the chocolates. Make sure you sign your name on the puzzle and have a friend of hers give it to her or drop it off at her house.

Do something romantic....pick some flowers (even wild flowers outside) and find her at lunch or before school. (tell your teacher you are going to be late for first hour by 5 minutes).....then go stand by her door and give her the flowers and ask her. It would be worth it if you were late...especially if you had permission first.
