Brazil is the best country in the world?

Brazil is the best country in the world, here at least no one is unemployed, the unemployment rate hit a record 4% the number of unemployed, here is a beautiful forest, beautiful beaches, beautiful city of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, never here had earthquake, snow falls in southern Brazil, the bullet train will come here, the poor have at least house, is not equal to the United States, The United States is polluting the air and because of that country's sea ice is melting, Brazil is not in crisis. Brazil is a world...

Answer:
It may be a good country, but far from being the best country in the world... 1) crime rate is too high, and violence is rampant. It is ranks 13th in the list of highest homicide rates http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_intentional_homicide_rate. When I go to Brazil, I am always concerned for my safety - always on the watch for possible assailants, for example, when the car I am riding stops at a red light at night, etc. 2) educational standards are low. Brazil ranks 67th in the list of educational standards by country. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_Index. The company I worked for was having difficulties finding skilled workers. 3) human development index, as compiled by the UN, is mediocre. Brazil ranks 85th in Human Development Index. 4) Corruption is high, according to index compiled by Transparency International. The Corruption Perception Index ranks Brazil in 73th position. In Brazill, you can bribe the patrolman who stops you for a traffic violation, and nothing gets done if hands are not properly "greased". 5) Business unfriendly country. Brazil ranks 126th in business friendliness, as compiled by the World Bank. http://www.doingbusiness.org/rankings. Despite the fact that Brazil is an positive economic outlook today, its growth shadow those of other BRIC countries; the main reason for that is its economic policies (high taxes, corruption, inefficiency of the economy) are stunting its growth 6) Despite the assertion that the poor have at least housing, that is not true at all. Just check the number of homeless people on the streets of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. " 20 million homeless people, who live in favelas, shared clandestine rooms, hovels or under bridges and viaducts, or are squatters, in some of the country's largest cities " (quoted from http://www.homelessworldcup.org/content/homelessness-statistics). 6) Large gap between rich and poor - as measured by the Gini Index - at 54.7, Brazil has one of the largest gaps between rich and poor in the world http://data.worldbank.org/indicator/SI.POV.GINI as compiled by the World Bank. ----- so Brazil is far from being the "best" country in the world. 6)

According to the World Bank the unemployment rate in Brazil is 6.6% (which admittedly is still very good). Brazil has some of the most grinding and oppressive poverty of any developing country. Its infrastructure in the major cities is good but as soon as you leave the major cities there are areas with little or no stable infrastructure at all. Only those that are willing to ignore the Favelas are going to accept Brazil as the best country in the world.

If what you say is true, would Apple Inc and foxconn decide to build a manufacturing plant in Brazil? Certainly, Brazil may have regulations toward manufactures. However, they clearly are not strong enough to prevent foxconn and Apple from creating a second china. Poverty will receive slave wages. The environment will be obliterated. Social cost will skyrocket beyond repair. Why Brazil and not the U.S.? Sir, because the U.S. does not comply with this type of damage. Damage you state it produces? ha sure, the U.S. pollutes the air,..in a different country. You have only the other countries to blame for agreement. Brazil has just made the list.
