How does the Left-Outer Join in Linq (C#) work?

Do I have to join a union if I work at Vons (Safeway)?

  • So I'm going to an interview at Vons on May 2nd and I've been reading some horrible things about the job I'm going for, I'm freaking myself out lol. But my main concern is would I have to join their union? I do not want to do that, can they force me to join? This is in California. And if I do, why? What's the point of joining a union? And if I have to join do I have to follow what they tell everyone to do? Like if they decide to picket do I have to do that too?

  • Answer:

You are required to pay the union membership fee, since you benefit from the contract that the union negotiates with the employer. This is automatically deducted from your paycheck. You are not required to take part in any union activities, including picketing, if you don't want to.

If you live in what is known as a "Right-to-work" state, then NO, they cannot require you to join OR pay. I doubt California is, but I do not know. I live in Florida, which I know IS. Funny that unions are supposed to protect worker's rights, But the states where unions are strong are NOT called "Right-to-work" But you kind of already know that Unions suck. They once served a purpose, and a valuable one at that, but so did typewriters. NOW, we have labor laws, and Competition in the market. We do not needunions putting companies out of business or making them want to move to China. And confiscating your money to use it to get DEMONcrats re-elected. Unions are microcosms of socialism. Everybody is equal. And nobody has the right to do better than anybody else.
